Cozy log cabins in the Finnish archipelago. Located in Houtskar Volot (the is island 1km from the local ferry-harbor).
The scenery is outer archipelagian and the cabins are located amid nature.
Five different rented-cabins are situated on the island, one cabin is rented the year-around.
Old-fashioned cabinlife, where you have all the manual "luxury" items for your disposal: a manual
waterpump, fireplace, barbecue, sauna, etc. Stow and fridge are gas-powered.
If you look closely you might see the owners youngest son taking pictures of the cabin interior,
luckily the picture is a bit fuzzy. It wasn't one of my better hair days.
Excellent for families, fishermen and people who just love the "mökki"-scene (mökki=cabin it's a Finnish thing)
The accomodations are for six people/cabin and has everything expect bedclothes (pillows and quilts are available).
The size of a cabin is about 40 squaremeters and contains a sauna (except cabin nr 4 which has a larger sauna by the beach)
Southside has 80m of sandbeach and the rest is rock covered. The northside can be used for attaching bigger boats.
Every cabin has a rowing-boat to his/her disposal and you can attach a smaller outboarder motor on it.
The cabin furnishing is the same (with the exception of
cabin 4 which has the bigger sauna.) only the location of the cabins differ.
Southside has a shared barbequestructure where you can smoke fish. Great fishingwaters on the northside
(you will have to buy a fishing license to fish on Finnish waters). Pets are allowed on the island.
